As a crucial member of the original Full Cycle, V recordings and Reprazent stables, DJ Suv has contributed substantially to dnb and the sound of Bristol. A member of the seminal Bristol trip hop group Fresh Four in 1989, SUV burst onto the scene along with Smith & Mighty, releasing the first trip hop track to see major success, with Wishing On A Star reaching top of the UK charts.
Mercury Prize winner in 1997 and MOBO prize winner under the group name of Reprazent, SUV has continued to carve his musical journey as a producer, singer, songwriter and Dj, always with the intent of breaking new ground. Suv is known for thinking outside the box, never afraid to look into the past or a seldom explored route. Always enjoying influences worldwide on his travels, he's renowned for mixing world cultures, language and styles bringing us that much closer together.
He continues to release DnB on his own label Playside as well as being a regular on V Recordings, Nattydub and Jungle Cakes to name a few. Suv also notably curates the main dnb stage at the infamous St. Paul's Carnival in Bristol, an event attended by over 100,000 people that celebrates African Caribbean culture, along with his Ramp Up! crew.
